Make of this what you will, but why would we rejoin (sorry wrong word) "realign with" a supranational institution whose populations are at odds with their governments, whose leaders are not elected, and which seems dead set on escalating Ukraine's war with Russia into a major European conflict? 

Oh, and we already decided the matter a mere decade ago.
