Yes, digital technology is the very foundation of our modern society, for better or worse. It's a tool that can be used, indeed really has to be used these days, and whether for good or evil is down to the motivation of the user.

The BCS indeed has been at the forefront of regulating for the digital age, being the power behind the original Data Protection Act (whatever you may think of that fairly cumbersome package).

Well, "flaming June" is upon us, and not a moment too soon if you ask me.

Whilst July usually marks the summer temperature zenith, June is the month that traditionally opens the doors of summer (unless May gets its retribution in first). May did manage to squeeze a couple of hot days out in our neck of the Kingdom, but its heart wasn't really in it.

Well, it is abundantly clear that somebody needs to, and would we trust the current incumbents at Westminster anywhere near the fabled levers of power ever again? My first comment is that since the US military seems to have us all under (so far undeclared) martial law, the initial take-down of the criminal elements of the establishment must be conducted by the military themselves in accordance with the military laws in effect.

Climate Change, together with its ugly offspring Transition, are certainly pretty big phantasms, right up there with Big Pharma's products and their carefully cultivated but mostly undeserved (and, purists might quibble, wholly ambiguous) reputation as "safe and effective". 

Safe for whom? Effective at what?
