I've no argument with that assertion. Whomever we elect then invariably proceeds to do exactly as they please regardless of their electoral promises.
We are irrelevant.
Not so, judging by the vast amounts that have been and are still being spent in keeping us all safe track of how we spend our lives. Well, they've got to put something into all those AI Datacentres haven't they? All those surveillance records should do it nicely.
We individually may well in the scale of things be irrelevant, but nevertheless, as the French have been demonstrating of late, given the right conditions a spark may ignite a conflagration ...
No wonder they want to remove our last protection against bad lawfare.
