"Rioting teenagers. Schools burnt to the ground. Fire engines pelted with rocks. Emergency workers set on fire. Teachers attacked by their own pupils ... "

France 2026. But the French have always done things differently.

Nevertheless, call me old-fashioned (thank you), but school-children don't do this sort of thing. They might skip classes, go AWOL, turn up late or omit to hand in their homework, but seriously, do they riot?

Where do they learn such behaviour?

Even subjected to the tripe that they are taught day after day these days in school, they don't riot (although maybe their parents might think about it .... ). They may self-identify as cats, choose inappropriate pronouns and suchlike, but they don't riot. They wouldn't know how to.

So what is going on?
