Yes I'm sure that there are faults with the Chinese system of central dictatorship, but one has to recognise that coherent planning of national infrastructure such as railways and national transportation can be neither supervised nor financed at a local level.
So have the Chinese proved that Central Planning can be done with the overall interests of the population at large in mind?
And can they maintain that emphasis into the future when infrastructure needs maintenance, modernising, even wholesale replacement, without the creation of massive piles of junk hardware that nobody wants and has nowhere to go? Or will they like Amtrack end up with obsolete dysfunctional and unreliable infrastructure that they just keep running because it's there?
Or will the "great reset" and "awakening" of humanity remove the need for such 3rd dimensional infrastructure altogether ... ?
