"These comments are sickening to read and show that much of the public has been deeply programmed by the fear propaganda and psychological manipulation that we, the press, perpetuate on behalf of our government"

If we think that censorship of the mainstream media does not (yet) happen, then UK Column have some news for us. An anonymous whistleblower lays out his personal statement in plain English for all to see. His primary concern is for the Covid scare-mongering, but if it can happen for one topic it can happen for any. Being polite he attributes much to ignorance and group-think, but how can these be considered valid excuses for any competent journalist?

Facts4EU.org is also dipping its toe into the censorship debate.

What has this got to do with the EU? Given that censorship is being applied across many nations including but not exclusive to member states of the EU, nothing exclusive.

But the "why" is easily explained - we left the EU in order to recover our freedoms, and possibly the most important freedom is the freedom to speak one's mind without fear of the consequences (provided that we don't libel or slander or deceive anybody).

Freedom of speech is now openly under attack by our own lawmakers, in the form of the mooted On-line Harms bill, which proposes to introduce to Ofcom-imposed normality the concept of censorship of material which is both truthful and legal. This Bill is now running on rails through the parliamentary processes.

Brian Montieth puts the case - read whilst you still can ...

For a wider-ranging discussion of how the way in which we are governed has been developing this century, the UK Column presents their version of the truth from 2017 - worth reading to remind ourselves of how long this has been brewing and how wide is the ambition.

This will change your understanding of the word "partnerships" for ever.
