For what it's worth, my guess is that the CIA is trying to destabilise Iran to install a puppet "Shah of Iran", but the Iranians aren't buying it. The Russians know that they have a strong leader they can trust in Vladimir Putin. The EU and NATO are outclassed on all fronts and their loss won't be lamented by their populations, China is still trying to come to terms with itself (although communism may have run its course). The US is grappling with the idea that the Trump they elected is no longer obviously fulfilling his electoral promises.
