Lambeth Council have been taken to Court by a residents group for ignoring their views on an LTN proposal.
" 'Lambeth council chose to spend public funds fighting the very community it exists to serve, rather than sitting down with us to find a workable, locally supported solution,' the group’s spokesperson said."
I wonder what problem it was that required a solution ?
" ...the judge said in his judgement on Friday that the council was guilty of a 'masterclass in selective partial reporting' in how it reported the outcome of the library consultation... "
" ... it was easier to sustain the cross-party political consensus on climate, via air pollution scare stories, and local chapters of a few dozen Friends of the Earth activists, against practically zero organised opposition at the local level"
Ah, so the problem was that nobody was buying into the "climate emergency" scam, so they decided to call it something else, but nobody bought into that either?
There's no pleasing some folk.
But never mind, the Council is taking its time to decide whether it needs to actually do anything different, because whilst the High Court found the consultation / decision process wanting, perhaps it didn't specifically criticise the actual outcome, so maybe the council could simply leave the LTN in place whilst it arranges a new and improved "consultation" ?
