As an exercise in testing public opinion, the Dallas CPAC has returned its verdict. America first - and "no more wars" even if Trump now wants war. "No miore war"means "no more war", not even for Israel.

A new paper just published in Nature suggests some surprising results from an investigation of ice cores which are assumed to have sampled the atmosphere over the last 3 million years or so.

The primary conclusion being that the levels of CO₂ and methane (the culprits which have been widely fingered for causing our (non-existant ¹) global warming by the "official" bodies appointed to pronounce on such matters) have in fact remained almost unchanged for the last 3 million years (it's not clear whether the ice cores in question only covered 3 million years or whether there was more earlier, in which case of course further research will have to be urgently funded).

Whilst there are reports in the mainstream press about the Iran war, reading between the lines is still a difficult and hugely problematic exercise - but what do we expect in wartime? We live within a vast psychological battleground where probably nothing major is as it seems.

Not necessarily.

Religions have (according to the history books) been very often a cause of bloody conflict (the crusades, likewise the persecution of heretics - notably the Cathars - by those religious powers who had neither shame nor concepts of doubt or mercy). 

Primarily the "Abrahamic" religions headed by Vatican, Islam, Satanism, Communism (if it can be called a religion as it more or less denies a creator God), all do or used to worship the notion of power over others. (I feel led to include Judaism here also, but frankly that's too complex a subject for me to either claim a decent understanding of or to pontificate about here).

And if not bloody conflict, certainly a mental conflict about their assumptions of how our world came to exist and how it actually works.

It does seem to be rather more than the end of the beginning.

Netanyahu gone, Israel in collapse, US servicemen refusing suicidal (and no doubt illegal) orders as they are duty bound to do, the war in the Gulf is ending in defeat of the US-Israel mafiosi that has ruled the West since at least as far back as the private banking mafia set up the Federal Reserve in 1913, following the sinking of the "Titanic". Trump has taken it down by setting up against an Iran that had prepared for exactly this conflict over many years.

Time will tell what role Trump actually played here, but his actions seem to have enabled Netanyahu to take on the final impossible battle that would destroy the rogue state of Israel.

How the US will recover its poise after this remains to be seen, but if Israel is gone then the way is clear  to remove most of the Senate and Congress by whatever means necessary, but that may be a messy business.

Over the course of writing articles for this website, I have come to the realisation that much of what I thought I knew about the world and its workings has been wrong. Wrong not in any obvious way, but in either subtle or even outright deceitful ways that invalidated my worldview. Wrong nevertheless.

After all, our direct experience is limited to what we can personally touch, see, hear, taste, smell, or otherwise feel, and even these five senses require a great deal of learned interpretation before we can extract appropriate meaning from these inputs; it's why we spend the first few years of our lives pondering these mysteries and working out how to interpret them in ways that seem to work, whilst our parents take care of our every need. We (eventually!) reach the stage that we believe that we have it all sussed...   but have we really?

Probably not.

Even the five senses listed above are, as it turns out, insufficient - we must add intuition.
