Is this another Great British initiative that will lead the world? Or perhaps at least our understanding of it?
"This is insane"
It's also mind-bendingly fascinating. Is this going to make the plans of the WEF for man-machine integration completely obsolete?
Prepare to be baffled ...

Many may doubt any linkage between the science of psychology and the mysteries of astrology, although it's also fair to say that some have unkind views about both disciplines.
Richard Vobes plunges heedless into the quagmire, interviewing a psychological astrologist who makes a surprisingly perceptive case for the relevance of her discipline to current times.
This is well outside my own life experience, but certainly qualifies as something that makes you go "Hmmmm".
So if you are feeling open-minded (and I can think of worse ways to spend my time!) ... plunge in.

Readers unfamiliar with our "Down the Rabbit Hole" series may like to view some of the earlier articles here, starting with nbr 1. Many may consider these propositions extreme, but the question is, can they be disproved? Could they be possible, and if so, what would be the implications?
If the implications would be trivial, then who cares? But if they would be earth-shaking, perhaps we should take note.
That said, today we take the plunge into an area that we have probably all heard about, but never seriously considered. Yet if we have heard about it already, from whence did that notion arise? And why are we so unclear about the substantive details?
And could this topic just maybe have relevance to our current situation vis à vis Russia?
So, if you are of a mind to, take the plunge!

The Sykes - Picot line?
No, the Neom futurist linear city.
This report is from October, but I don't doubt they've been forging ahead since.
It presents with undertones of a glossy travelogue / sales pitch, but what else would we expect given the scale of the undertaking?
Strange how they have decided to house the construction workers in a new-build facility that looks remarkably like an old city, with parks, sports pitches and entertainment blocks, but maybe I'm missing something.
Still, when finished, using the inbuilt rail system people will be able to travel from one end of the city to the other in "20 minutes" - although it seems to me that if you want to get off at an intermediate point, at an average speed of 500 km/hr you might have to look slippy when detraining ...
Given the new Marina being constructed, this could well include holiday destinations so far unparalleled. It's not just the Marina - there are associated projects also under construction:
Trojina’s main attraction is its ski slopes. It will also include "a man made freshwater lake, chalets, villas, and luxury hotels with exceptional amenities such as spa and bathhouse, a ski slope roof, and microclimates" ... not to mention the "Ski Village, part of the Fun Cluster and Slope Residences in the Relax Cluster are making great progress, with ongoing basement work and detailed design work".
Also the "next major project is Sindala. A futuristic Megacity is set to open its first destination in 2024 ... This destination will feature a world class yachting area designed by an Italian designer, three mega luxury hotels, a golf course, numerous restaurants, and an upscale retail area called the Village Housing 51 Luxury Retail Outlets ... "
Neither of which developments seem to share Neom's penchant for strictly linear topography.
So will we soon be swapping our fortnight on the Costa del Sol for a long weekend in the longest city on Earth? Place your bets now ...

For those becoming discombobulated by a realisation that our world is not run the way we thought it was, and still coming to terms with the new reality ...
This substack isn't directly applicable but does deal with the writer's approach to the uncertainty involved in dislocation.
"The place I’m in feels liminal; not quite done with the past and not yet having created a new life here"
"the myriad ways in which my body and heart and spirit are supporting me and carrying me onward, if only I can take the time to listen"
"I feel help coming from so many other forces too: particularly from friends; from the trees, the waters and the land I’m on; from the movement of the stars reminding me of deep time and space"
This piece probably isn't for everybody, but if you're prepared to go with the flow, perhaps it may be helpful.
