    2025-09-06

The problem with poetry is that you can never be quite sure where you will end up.

So it is with Rudyard Kipling, that despised relic of white colonial life who believed that he could write some lines of words that somebody somewhere would find interesting, despite attending "the school of hard knocks", never studying at the right universities nor schooling in the intricacies of journalism politics and economics.

In the event he ended up with his name plastered all over the outside of packets of pre-manufactured (but "exceedingly nice") cakes in the supermarkets of his home country.

He had what we might think of as a hard childhood, was sent to an "inferior boarding school", and it was his real life experiences in England and in India that shaped his attitude to life, and no doubt his writings. He learned through doing (and being done

  • Welcome the New Normal Security Society

    2025-09-05

It's obviously for our safety - well, maybe not for most of us just yet, but for our children, at least whilst they are in school, but we have to start somewhere.

With so many migrants of unknown provenance being unavoidably housed within society, the dangers are obvious and our government is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that our schoolchildren remain safe at school - who could possibly object to that?

It is true that kids previously used to unfettered ingress and egress may begin to feel a certain loss of freedom, perhaps even a tinge of claustrophobia, but no doubt they will soon get used to it. After all, the world is becoming an increasingly scary place and staying safe at all times by complying with the mandated safety restrictions is now an essential attitude to inculcate... but concerned parents

  • Education Clearly Qualifies for "Special Needs"

    2025-08-29

We don't feature much about the state of schools in our country, because it's a long time since I was at school, and no doubt the changes since then have been enormous.

A few years ago David Adelman asserted that schools today are no place for children - but the catch is that nobody has time for home-schooling these days (even if they knew how to do it) so parents send their kids off to the State's tender care.

    We did that ourselves.

There they get the State's one-size-fits-all education by artificial intelligence - in other words, there is a rule for everything and the rules must be followed. Regardless of whether the kid actually needs a bit of TLC or a clip around the ear (only joking!) he/she/it/them/they/<insert

    2025-08-23

"We are the beating heart of the United States of America"

"There is only one sentence for treason"

Graham Moore of the English Constitution Society explains his view of the English. A lot of good  information here - I'm not saying that everything said is accurate, but I suggest that he is substantially correct.

"You must vote... write on the ballot 'I DO NOT CONSENT' "

    - if you don't vote then you are by default complicit in the election. If the majority do not comply then the election is null and void.

Their determination is that it is genocide.

    2025-08-07

For those who (like myself) have lived in blissful ignorance of this review, it was set up in October 2019...

"These instructions set out the basis on which the National Safeguarding Team of the Church of England commissions Keith Makin (“the Reviewer”) to undertake a review into the Church of England’s handling of allegations relating to the conduct of the late John Smyth QC."

    "1. Objective of the Review

1.1 This review (“the Review”) will allow those individuals who have indicated that they have sustained harm at the hands of John Smyth and given an account to the Church of England to describe their experiences.

1.2 The Review will consider the actions of Church of England participants and will identify both good practice and failings in the Church’s handling of the allegations relating to John Smyth, including their safeguarding practice, in order that they can take steps to enhance and

  • The Children's Control and Indoctrination Bill

    2025-08-02

OK, I admit it, it's official title is the "Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill", but I doubt that that truly reflects it's full potential.

Just as to those with a hammer, every problem can be fixed with a nail in the right place, so it is with Parliament: every problem is an opportunity to create more laws rules and regulations for the further entrapment of control within the highest centre of power, which (the New World Order Absolute being unaccountably still pending) remains the national state government.

The underlying assumption of course is that those at the centre of power are vastly more intelligent (because they have been to all the right institutions and learned all the left's dogmas) than the hoi polloi of the general populace (ie: those who escaped the education system with their wits still about them). Therefore by this simple modern equivalent of the medieval

  • Professional Incompetence and Neglect

    2025-07-30

Rotherham and Telford are infamous for a reason.

They were investigated (eventually) and common ground was identified.

"A plethora of reports and inquiries have been published since that time, highlighting commonalities around grooming tactics, public sector failures and poor data collection"

"Reports from Rotherham, Telford, and later by Baroness Casey suggest that professional incompetence and political expediency were far more significant, although sensitivities around race did play a role"

"Social workers were using a model of child protection designed for intrafamilial abuse and removed children from their homes even when the home environment was a protective factor"

It seems to me that the time for further studies and reports is over - the time for investigations and public prosecutions is well overdue. If not now, then

    2025-07-22

This is a bit long, perhaps even a bit slow, but touches many points of contention.

Martin Armstrong's "birds eye view" of the interaction between the financials and the politics is illuminating - and not at all reassuring.

  • The State of the National Omni-Collapse

    2025-07-20

David Starkey has been featured several times on this site, mostly in terms of his excellent knowledge of the history of England and the development of its governance over the centuries.

Rupert Lowe, elected as a Reform MP at the 2024 general election, has set up a political  movement ("not a political party" - we are grateful for small mercies!) for the restoration of the British political establishment to a more honest status of integrity with the checks and balances what we previously enjoyed before at least the era of Tony Blair, but probably earlier.

Appropriately, it is named "Restore Britain".

In David Starkey he probably has the primary pre-eminent expert on our constitutional development, who will (one hopes and believes) provide sound and well-informed historical constitutional advice.

  • Real Scientists Agree - The Climate Emergency Is ****

    2025-07-11

I suppose that the best candidate for "****" is "unproven".

In which case we are seriously abusing our children by indoctrinating them in unproven but terrifying climate dogma in our schools.

Lots of climate models (funded by all the usual suspects) do not add up to a body of science. Even if some are right, they are not proof of anything other than man's ability to delude itself by admiring it's own efforts.

Complex they may be and undoubtedly are, but a mastery of complexity does not of itself indicate "science", just as assertions by politicians do not necessarily indicate reliability of outcome. Professor Ferguson's Covid models should have dispelled that myth back in 2020.

  • The Law is Weaponised Against the People

    2025-06-19

In past times the law was essentially Common Law, codified by judges on the simple basis that life, health, and property (roughly in that order) were to be defended, that all were equal before the law, and that justice had to be seen to be done.

This was supplemented by agreements between government and the governed, including Magna Carta's various incarnations, and the Glorious Revolution of 1688 (and its Bill of Rights 1689).

David Starkey explained these admirably here.

We have now reached the stage where MPs, displaying no obvious interest in these protections, claim to legislate for women to kill their own babies for good

And given the extraordinary success of the UK Covid Enquiry in ignoring all the uncomfortable questions and sweeping the whole operation into the long grass of life-threatening tedium, who better to lead this new exercise in self-exculpation than Baroness Hallett?

  • MAGA: Make America Gullible Again?

    2025-05-29

The MAGA movement put "the Donald" back into office, and the DOGE enterprise wrong-footed the establishment by exposing and cutting off much of their illicit funding, whilst his alliance with RFK Jr brought hope that Big Pharma might have their wings clipped at the very least.

To this end apparently he has issued a new Executive Order 14303 to restore "Gold Standard Science" to American institutions of government.

Big Pharma's non-illicit pockets are still vastly deep, and there are indications that his MAHA movement may not be turning out to be everything that we hoped for. In particular, the (2nd) choice of nominee for the post of Surgeon General may not inspire universal confidence.

Nor is Sasha Latypova inspired by the latest "news" from the HHS:
