We are grateful for the good folk at Migration Watch UK, still on the job, monitoring the incoming waves of immigration to this sceptred isle.

They reckon that we will have to construct the equivalent of 15 cities the "size of Birmingham" in order to house the numbers expected.

The weasel word here of course is "size" - are they talking surface area, or merely head of population?

It occurs to me that this problem could quite possibly be solved in short order (with a little lateral thinking) by a government announcement, widely promulgated, that in line with the WEF thinking so wisely supported by our ruling classes, all new immigrants will be allocated priority housing in brand new cities, constructed to the very latest WEF specifications, where all necessary amenities will be available within 15 minutes, nobody will need to own anything, all will be inoculated against every conceivable malady, will enjoy total surveillance to keep them safe, and will be happy in the knowledge that they have been afforded the very ultimate in health and safety.

I reckon about 15 to 30 underground tower blocks with geothermal warming (from the ambient below-ground temperature at the depth required) should provide a very comfortable environment as well as all necessary power, so fossil fuel will be outmoded, the planet will be saved, and as a very special bonus the inhabitants will all live beyond the reach of climate change!

Once again, Britain has a very real chance to lead the world!

Of course the under-privileged native population would have to continue our miserable lives out on the surface whilst priority is accorded to housing the new migrants. So we would have to suffer the endless round of summer and winter weather and all the concomitant inconveniences for a while longer, but it's a price I believe that we ever-generous British would be willing to pay in order to save the immigrants and the planet.

But will our government have the gumption to think outside the box and take the action that is so plainly required? Sadly their track record isn't too great, but with a general election incoming in 2024, you know who to vote for!
