I find that I'm needing to point up more problems with our "elected" governments under the "two party" system.

This time Briefings for Britain draw our attention to a summary by Think Scotland of the SNP's record in government. It's a useful article and I think it appropriate to our times.

In short:

"the SNP, despite being in power over the last 14 years, has an unparalleled  record of failure in every policy area"

"We the people" of Scotland elected these guys and "we the people" need to fix the problem.

After many years of defence cuts and the strategic reviews that led to them, Britain is back . . .

Reports in the press confirm that we will send a "carriier strike group" to far eastern waters (albeit with a little help from our friends).

Defence Secretary Ben Wallace:

A puzzling feature of the recent Oxford study into the effect of vaccinations on Covid prevalence is highlighted today by Lockdown Sceptics.

The study investigated seven groups of people according the the length of time before and after jabs 1 and 2:

(Group 1 was a control group, no previous positive test and no jab)

• Group 2: more than 21 days prior to jab 1
• Group 3: 21 or fewer days prior to jab 1

The Daily Telegraph reports (paywalled) that an Oxford University Professor says that Britain has moved from pandemic to endemic.

That would obviously be a momentous statement, implying that the emergency is over.

It is already being fought tooth and nail.

The vaccination programme (being credited by many for this situation) would have to be stopped as none are authorised for use outside of an emergency, and the remaining restrictions would be lifted as no longer required.

Not so fast - the doomsayer in chief Prof Whitty, reported by the BBC unsurprisingly begs to differ. '

Brexit was "done" and supposedly "dusted" in January, but it doesn't seem to be working too well.

We all know about the problems spawned by the EU's interpretation of the the N.I. protocol, but the practical difficulties faced by our ex-pats still living in the bureaucracy-focussed union's member states get less attention.

And of course the EU Parliament may decline to ratify the treaty at the end of this month (never let another opportunity to extract more concessions go to waste) and even if they do, the individual member states may similarly continue the rearguard action...

Well, yes and no. The Get-together was off-limits but the Davos Agenda virtual event took its place.

Formosa - beautiful island - Taiwan - if the CCP wanted to persuade it back into the mainland fold then perhaps it should not have treated Hong Kong as it did. Maybe they need lessons in how to make friends and influence people? Or maybe they don't actually want to learn. It's all very much at odds with the much-vaunted long-term strategy of Chinese patience in pursuit of its global objectives.

Whatever, the "Biden administration" which was expected in some quarters to throw Taiwan under the CCP bus has apparently stiffened its sinews and adopted a joint resolution with Japan calling for “peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait”, thus aligning itself with one of China's foremost competitors. Bearing in mind their alleged enormous investment in subverting the US election process in order to install their puppet in the White House, the CCP are probably not pleased.

Frankly, it makes you wonder just who is running the US foreign policy, given that "sleepy Joe" seemingly can't even get up a flight

Yesterday i had my introduction to the JR Nyquist blog, and today I encounter the Climate Discussion Nexus article on the alleged Chinese ambition to dominate the world...

Now I have to say that I have no firm information - we are certainly in the realms of speculation, but as they say, if the cap fits, wear it.

World history has been littered by a long succession of folk who felt that they were entitled to rule the world (or as much of it as they could get their hands on before their regime fell apart) and would go to any lengths to do so. The problem that we face today is that the world has been shrunk to such an extent by sea travel, air travel, probably soon sub-orbital space travel, and recently by what we might christen zoom travel, that it is now perfectly possible for a dictator or tiny cabal of the rich and powerful to hope to establish world rule, to their own exclusive benefit.

Many of us have known that it was unwise to throw most previously accepted epidemiology overboard at the first glimpse of the Coronavirus, and now the AIER confirms it - Lockdowns were unjustified.

For those unfamiliar with Q I suggest first rereading my last post concerning an article by Martin Geddes.

This Q post is pretty comprehensive, although in video format it may be tricky to get a properly readable version.

Nevertheless the main message is simple - once it became clear that Q's posts have been based upon the US military Law of War manual, it becomes clear that Q's posts relate precisely to the current situation of Washington DC (not a State but now a territory occupied by a Congress Senate and President (of a bankrupted corporation!) all of whom are allegedly agents of a foreign power ie: the Chinese Communist Party to name but one). As DC is now occupied territory controlled by the US Military, the Law of War manual applies.
