After so many years of peace in the UK, we are apt to forget that war and the struggle for power has been a common theme throughout history. In particular we forget that Sweden once had ambitions to be a major power!
This piece is a useful reminder of how the great powers used to operate, and perhaps still do, even if less obviously and behind different façades.
