Investigators of "conspiracy theories" have come in many forms shades and sizes in recent (and not so recent) times, but one of the striking features of their work is how many of them have broadened their topic interests away from their original focus, and towards humanity's existential questions - Where did we come from? How should we live? Why are we here? Whither are we going? What to do? How to do it?

Investigators of mysterious artefacts, ancient megaliths, paranormal goings-on, and indeed modern mysteries such as crop circles, are all driven by tangible evidence and all come up against what appears to be a flat denial of reasonable challenges to the accepted dogmas of our age. Faced with frankly unlikely, even ridiculous interpretations of supporting evidence, they inevitably start posing questions about who what where, and most importantly, why?

Of all the institutions charged with collecting, managing, curating, and publishing knowledge in areas scientific, medical, historical, political and religious to name but a few, none seem to display the honesty integrity and indeed the imagination necessary to support learning, development, reinterpretation and revision of the "received wisdom" as necessary, and thus foster progress beyond the status quo.

Foster Gamble of "Free to Thrive", himself no slouch when it comes to the investigation of conspiracy theories concerning "free" energy and much else besides, expresses these circumstances most eloquently, explaining whither this unprecedented conjunction of disparate independent researchers and activists may be leading us.

It's early days still, but our future world, freed from the restrictive paranoia of our elites, may be structured very differently from times past, and will likely be all the better for it.
