The Mail Online has reviewed the daily case rates and death rates across the USA, with specific mention of the two opposing camps - liberal Florida where governor DeSantis refused to clamp down, and California where governor Newsom imposed some of the harshest measures of any state.

The result? Florida did better than most, although the pattern of deaths differs from state to state and the overall result taken in aggregate is not stunningly conclusive. The best that can probably be said is that the harsh measures taken to suppress the virus were probably not much different to inconsequential overall.

It's striking that the Mail Online's article discounts the seasonal nature of the virus - that runs directly counter to Ivor Cummins, who has stated his belief that it follows the normal cycle that tends to govern other respiratory diseases such as the flu (I would have included a link but it seems that for unaccountable reasons Ivor's YouTube video is no longer available).

Of course it is also necessary to recall that a positive test does not equate to an infection, since the PCR test has never shaken off its reputation for providing false positives, and even the WHO is on record as stating that a positive test cannot be taken on its own as indicating an infection. So all these statistics that depended on positive test results to either establish an infection or to establish cause of death remain essentially suspect.
