Heresy! Arrest that man immediately!

No, not me Guv - it was Daily Sceptic wot done it ...

Well actually, I must confess my sins - I did once stand before Extinction Rebellion and proclaim the virtues of CO2, so I may not have used the same words precisely but it wasn't much different. To be fair to my audience they heard me out politely enough, but it was noticeable that all the other speakers on the panel were decidedly "on-message", just not on my message.

So it is with approval that I feature this recent article from Chris Morrison which threatens to stir up the Climate controversy just when we thought it safe to embark on 2022. At least it makes a change from the Covid narrative.

Come to think of it, it's only really a change of complexion - they are both controversies of the same ilk - that is, fomented by global politicians (and their puppeteers?) as a means to confuse and terrify us into submission to their intention to rule the world. By bamboozling us with pseudo-scientific nonsense they hope to scare us into believing their fantastical stories of impending doom, and gratefully (hopefully unquestioningly) accept their leadership.

But now, both narratives (especially Covid) are beginning to wear a bit thin.

What will they think up next?

Economic collapse through cyber-terror? (I don't buy that one, too abstruse for most to latch onto)

Rogue asteroid threatening planet Earth with Armageddon? (scary, but if the US Space Force couldn't handle it, who could?)

Alien invasion? (more probable - it's almost plausible that only a response coordinated by a world government could save us)

Of course, such scenarios are put forward with tongue firmly in cheek and attention focused primarily on the likely box-office receipts.

Naturally, not everybody accepts such scepticism, and whichever controversy one chooses to examine, it's almost impossible to prove the case either way, so it really is up to each one of us to come to our own individual viewpoint. None of us can claim a monopoly on the truth.

Still, when one considers the weight of evidence, it's truly not surprising that many have become, shall we say, a little sceptical of officialdom.

Isn't that, fundamentally, why we have elections every few years?
