Hezbollah has been hit by exploding "pagers", although it's unclear whether they were somehow packed with explosive or with lithium ion batteries that were explosive.
Apparently this resulted in nine deaths and thousands of wounded.
Since distribution of pagers isn't necessarily a precise art, some may have found their way to innocent customers not involved in the Hezbollah-Israel conflict.
Is any new mobile device, like phones, now at risk, one might ask? One suspects that the possibility cannot be discounted. especially if manufactured recently, or after 7 Oct 2023.
