Simon Dolan's challenge (commenced 3rd May) and the People's Brexit challenge (commenced 1st June) (not sure where Brexit comes into this, other than Robin Tilbrook is leader of the English Democrats) both cover similar ground - the "disproportionate" measures brought in by the Government in response to Covid-19.

Both challenges cover the legal grounds upon which many of the ever-changing Covid regulations have been imposed, as well as the legality of indovidual regulations that seem to be based on no science whatsoever (some not even on the "science" offered by their "scientific" experts.

"We have now established that The Coronavirus Act 2020 is null and void. There are many reasons for this, the main one being that S1(1) of the Act defines 'coronavirus' as being 'covid-19' or it's other name 'SARS Cov-2'. However, by virtue of the fact that it is not legally, medically or scientifically recognised as a disease or virus it cannot be legislated against, and this makes the whole Act null and void"

(Was there a "technical glitch" somewhere along the line? )

They have also campaigned for the release of the scientific advice upon which the government claims to be basing their decisions. It is remarkable that this should not be available for public and medical scrutiny - it is very clear that medical scientists across the world do not speak with one voice on Covid-19, and nor do national governments. Some initial success was forthcoming when the government released the make-up of the SAGE advisory panel, after much prompting.

Follow the links to check out these cases and (if you wish) to contribute to their undoubtedly huge legal costs - they are facing the effectively bottomless purse of the Treasury, but if enough citizens make a contribution then these cases can be properly fought and the truth of the matters contested can be established.

As we approach a new year with no sign of let-up in the government's campaign to ruin our economy defeat the virus, it seems clear that all our futures may depend upon the outcome of these cases.
