Legal Legal Repeal

  • Fighting AI with AI - the Future?

    2024-11-25

    Chemtrails - are they untouchable?

Clif High thinks not, and is refining a lawsuit to test the principle.

I have posited previously that laws and statutes are simply a form of artificial intelligence that seeks to define the rules within which we must operate for best outcomes, and to enforce them through the courts (albeit a long and tedious process).

Latest technology has now automated the AI process using computer algorithms capable of presenting their results in human-accessible form within an acceptable time-frame and at comparatively modest cost.

Clif's approach is to pit the latter against the former - imagine the effect of thousands of likewise emboldened citizens all filing lawsuits to redress wrongs that are currently too difficult and/or ruinously expensive to address by conventional means!

  • Scott Ritter Reviews the State of Play following the ICC Arrest Warrants

    2024-11-23

This is a very wide-ranging review, covering the attitude of the USA, the State of Israel, his view of the objectives of the Israeli government, and much else besides. A full update.

As always his views are engaging, and based on his view of reality - like it or not.

  • Netanyahu in the ICC's Legal Cross-Hairs

    2024-11-21

The Telegraph reports that the ICC has (after some delay it must be noted) issued arrest warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu and former defence minister Yoav Gallant.

"The warrants are 'for crimes against humanity and war crimes committed from at least 8 October 2023 until at least 20 May 2024' "

"also issued an arrest warrant for Hamas’s military chief Mohammed Deif, who is seen as the mastermind of the Oct 7 attacks. Israel claimed to have killed him earlier this year"

"The ICC’s decision turns Mr Netanyahu and the others into internationally wanted suspects"

All countries who recognise the ICC are now formally obliged to arrest the suspects and turn them over for legal proceedings to be initiated as appropriate.

The USA does not recognise the ICC and could in theory ignore these warrants, although they could also act as impartial

  • New Zealand's Answer to the Colonial Government

    2024-11-17

What to do when government overreach is in your face?

The New Zealand Parliament was treated to the perfect (and I believe legally sound if not entirely in accord with colonial parliamentary tradition) answer.

  • Why Matt Gaetz?

    2024-11-17

We have featured the work of Scott Ritter on these pages because (in my opinion, which matters only on this site!) he is one of the most experienced military / geopolitical commentators that our world has been blessed with.

So his opinion piece on Trump's nomination of Matt Gaetz to the post of Attorney General (not well received by many) matters to me.

It may well matter to all of us in due course as the implications become evident.

    And it matters to Scott.

  • C of E in the Cross-Hairs

    2024-11-13

The Church of England, originally instituted by Henry VIII when he fell out with the Pope over an inability to sire heirs with his various wives (not to mention the lure of confiscation of vast wealth from the religious institutions of the day), is now threatened with disestablishment, ie: the dissolution of the links between Church and State.

Do 500 years of tradition count for nothing?

Is the established Church not an anachronism in our modern age of anything goes, especially in view of the current state of the C of E?

Has the link not served us well in the past, but will it not inevitably become an impediment to our progress in the future?

I am of the view that this is de facto a constitutional change, and must have the explicit approval of the people before it can be instituted - a private members' bill is not an appropriate vehicle for such drastic change. Our monarch is sworn in at a religious ceremony

Loath though I am to feature yet more refutations of the troublesome WHO's feverish "pandemic preparedness" obsessions, Sons of Liberty have produced a useful summary (yes, it is a summary, even though it seems interminable).

    2024-10-30

It's hard to argue with Neil, so I won't.

Yes, we've heard it all before, but this is as close to throwing his toys out of the pram that I have seen our normally serene and civilised Neil approach.

"The legal definition of genocide is the committing of acts with the intention to destroy a people"

" the British public has not even begun to understand the seriousness of what is happening in our country... many people will not care what happens until it's too late... a radical and lasting transformation in the relationship between the State and its citizens in Britain in the coming years - and with it will come an equally fundamental change in our relations with each other, change characterised by distrust, resentment, and mutual hostility " - former Supreme Court Justice Lord Sumption - 2020

  • Costa Rica Orders Hearing on Alleged WHO Violation of Nuremberg Codes

    2024-10-14

"In a very significant development, the Vice President & Health Minister of Costa Rica has authorized an administrative hearing to address long standing disputes between the World Health Organization (WHO), the State, and Interest of Justice, a non profit international civil society organization. This hearing comes after WHO's internal oversight body referred multiple claims of serious misconduct & Nuremberg Code violations to 'national authorities' "

So will little Costa Rica be the first national authority to set global legal precedent and find that the WHO has a case to answer?

    This could be huge.

  • Unbelievable - Unless You Are a Conspiracy Theorist

    2024-10-08

Del Bigtree's lawyers have evidence of something so upside-down and back-to-front that everybody should sit up and take notice.

Everyone has heard of Facebook - but for those who don't already know, the CDC (Centre for Disease Control) is the US government's primary medical regulator. Our own UK regulator the MHRA in many instances will take its lead from the CDC.

So where does Facebook fit into this picture and what qualifies it to advise the CDC on its presentation of medical information?

Martin Geddes again, this time with a presentation on the topic, as rehashed by AI (is that wise? - we have been warned!).

"Many live in a state of 'low consciousness' succumbing to conformity and programmed behavior, never realizing their true potential"

"... the jury serves as the “court of conscience,” where ordinary people are tasked with interpreting not just the facts of a case but also its moral dimensions"

"... if we cannot manage our thoughts and actions, we cannot expect to live in a truly free society"

  • Into Deeper Waters on Skye

Martin Geddes is no stranger to entanglements with the law.

It being summer and relatively benign up there (I'm guessing here - it could have been tipping it down, but he doesn't mention that) he has taken a short retreat from the hurly-burly confusion of life in general, in order to sort out the next stage of his spiritual journey, upon which he (I suspect unintentionally) found himself when analysing the logic of his brushes with the judicial system.

Spirituality is not an optional extra in life, it is just that we have to find it for ourselves, and having found it, take our spiritual understanding and advancement upon ourselves.

But what does it have to do with the law?

  • Who Assesses my Benefits Claim?

    2024-08-28

Well, according to Big Brother Watch, maybe nobody. It might all be handled by machines. If not now, then soon.

Does anybody know how the AI works? Nobody accessible to the public.

"Black box algorithms and secretive AI tools sit at the heart of the UK's welfare system - with little accountability. Our investigation offers a glimpse into life inside the UK’s poverty panopticon"

So here's a simple enough question:

If the tools of the process are opaque and protected by commercial confidentiality, how can the process be accountable to the public that it is meant to serve? And if not accountable, how is a realistic challenge possible?

I have postulated before that government is simply a
